ERP / SAP
What is ERP?
IT solutions provide companies of any size with an important competitive advantage. An ERP system supports your company in planning, development, and growth. With the help of this software, you clearly present your corporate resources, namely capital, operating resources, and employees.
ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning
ERP systems, for example from SAP, offer comprehensive business solutions and support you in managing business processes.

From accounting
to logistics
This scope describes the range of a classic ERP software. The recording possibilities are unlimited: internal and external accounting, asset accounting, complete logistics in purchasing, inventory management and administration, or sales, shipping, and invoicing. Likewise, you can map core functions of production planning and project management.
Financial Accounting
The area of financial accounting includes the general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Additionally, asset accounting, asset management, and bank accounting can be managed. Besides proper bookkeeping, payment and dunning procedures as well as invoice verification can be mapped. Financial accounting includes reporting functions that allow you to present profit and loss statements at any time. A clear overview of your company’s financial status facilitates ongoing decision-making.
Controlling
This module is divided into cost center and profit center accounting to clearly allocate incurred costs and revenues internally. This makes internal cost drivers transparent. Furthermore, a cost object accounting with internal orders is available, where costs can be collected and subsequently billed. This allows efficient planning and tracking of internal cost flows. Another function in the controlling module is profit and market segment accounting, which analyzes the company’s success by individual market segments.
Materials Management and Purchasing
Materials management includes inventory management, warehouse administration, valuation, and stocktaking. A material requirements planning (MRP) to generate procurement proposals can be determined using predefined rules. The purchasing module serves for operational order processing considering all master data. Prior to this, a structured request for quotation and decision can take place. A formal order is possible directly from the system. After invoice receipt and invoice entry, invoice verification and approval for payment occur.
Production
With the production area, you manage relevant master data from production planning. This forms the basis for creating and managing production orders. Connected to this, the system offers the possibility for feedback on operations and services. As part of monitoring, you calculate the incurred production costs.
Project Management
With this functionality, you can manage all tasks from project planning to successful project realization. For this purpose, you have access at any time in the project system to data from departments involved in project planning and control. The module ensures timely project tracking from project structuring, through scheduling, to controlling.
Sales and Customer Service
Based on sales-relevant master data, optional inquiry management and quotation creation take place. The core is the creation and management of customer orders. Connected to this is delivery processing and invoicing. This can be for products, services, and offerings. Automatic recording and management of framework agreements and contracts with customers, such as maintenance contracts or service notifications.
Support for Internal Processes
The SAP ERP system also offers functions to automate processes within a company. The management of digital documents, travel expenses, as well as performance and time tracking is facilitated. Special workflow models support you in individual work steps.
IT Costs
The investment in KINAMU ERP Appliance is a cost-effective investment. The price per user per month starts at €189 and includes hardware and software, as well as maintenance and support. Especially, there are no acquisition costs.
Interfaces
The SAP ERP system offers the possibility to integrate and connect other solutions. KINAMU works with self-developed out-of-the-box solutions. Interfaces to other systems must be checked individually. One-time investment costs may occur in this phase.
Integration of the KINAMU CRM Solution
The KINAMU CRM solution can be integrated into your SAP ERP system. For processing customer orders and subsequent invoicing in the ERP system, direct access to the central database of the KINAMU CRM solution is possible.

GRC – Authorization and Compliance Management for SAP
General information about authorizations
The review of roles and authorizations will reveal many segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts and risky transactions (cA). From my experience, this is mostly the case with "grown" authorizations and roles.
To control the many SoD conflicts – and also the maintenance effort – and to comply with policies and compliance within the company towards the CIO, compliance officer, or external auditors, usually a restructuring of SAP authorization management is unavoidable.
Problems of an existing authorization concept
Reasons:
- "Wild growth" in grown roles and authorizations
- Redundant transactions and authorizations in roles
- Granting authorizations via so-called reference users
- Authorizations are mapped not in workplaces but e.g. in process roles
- No "need2know" principle
- Many non-compliant authorizations and critical transactions
- High maintenance effort of authorizations by the authorization administrator
(e.g. revocation/granting of transactions, representation of process changes)
The approach of the task role concept
Advantages:
- A transaction is in a task role
- No redundant authorizations in task roles
- Granting authorizations via derived task roles into workplaces
- Need2know – i.e. only necessary transactions (task roles) in workplaces
- Generation of compliant workplaces through AP splitting
- Low maintenance effort of authorizations (e.g. revocation/granting of a transaction)
- Less manpower in authorization granting e.g. for process changes etc. ChatGPT fragen
